I didn't get a "jingle" sound from the Netscape mail but I did get a "!" next to the little envelope in the bottom right hand corner. As long as I had checked the mail and got rid of the "?"....then if I got mail while I was still on-line I got the "!"

Not sure....think it might be the brouser. (changing of the colors) The one I have now doesn't do it all the time either so it might be SI but it seems to work in other places too.
