My call on the two executives leaving:

Peiffer - Being #2 after being #1 is not fun (as evidenced by most former #1's chosing to jump to another company within 6 months of merger being completed.)

Schwaith - Probably going to be CEO of StarWave which was recently incorporated to help speed the convergence of a "home appliance" combining the TV and computer. It was just announced that Paul Allen's Vulcan Ventures AND Microsoft were helping to capitalize the company. Schwaith's old job ensured that he is well known in Microsoft circles and having achieved financial independence, who wouldn't jump at the chance to run their own company (especially if he saw little opportunity to rise within the company).

Peiffer's leaving - NON EVENT
Schwaith's leaving - EVENT only if you believe current rumors of channel stuffing. (I don't!)
