Ronald, I agree. You know the bear case is finally playing itself out when the justification for continued good times ahead become more and more strained. The market supposedly turned yesterday when top analysts indicated the Asian crisis is "bottoming out." As though economic meltdowns of the sort we're seeing in Asia generally last about two months or so. Japan was teetering before the tigers collapsed. It cannot survive what's happening now. And the global economy won't survive the fall of the second biggest. Govts will soon be forced to walk away from their currency, their bond markets, their financial insitutions or all three.
