I recently put Chrome on my laptop and now use it instead of Firefox. However, Chrome found old bookmarks from years ago that I forgot about and haven't used. It imported them as well as more recent marks. I've gotten that fairly well straightened out but want to avoid a repeat.

I'm ready now to install Chrome on this desktop, my primary machine. Should I use Revo Uniinstaller and completely delete Firefox first? Seems like that might cause the opposite sort of problems I had with the laptop. I sure would like to avoid having to spend the time cleaning up this desktop like I had to with the laptop.

Suggestions appreciated and thanks!
