Sam, I'm having FireFox problems myself. Not the same as yours but I finally gave up on it for my laptop and went strictly to Chrome. Now, I'm starting to have a different set of "things" going on with my desktop. I think I'll plan to spend time this weekend converting the desktop over to Chrome and be done with this.

I'm still experiencing the minor learning curve with Chrome, but find it more comfortable as I get better acquainted with it. I'm finding areas where FireFox is interfering with Chrome and until I get those problems resolved, none of this is very smooth just yet.

I've even deleted FF from my laptop but remnant traces of it still get in the way, most at or during logging in to various sites I frequent with every day usage. Obviously "delete" isn't totally complete.
