Do you understand the country right now is effectively a plutocratic oligarchy with the super rich having the power via owning congressmen and lobbyists. The poor and middle class have very little power and when have the rich every helped the poor willingly?? What is out of control is the military industrial complex, We probably pissed away 10 trillion on those stupid wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and weakened our ability protect ourselves from china and russia our real enemies. The Nordic countries have large democratic socialist societies and the are the happiest and well cared for people on earth. How is you cannot see that? All though history it has been the rich and powerful that have controlled the masses and that is what you get from a unregulated capitalism.
