Much like Facebook, YouTube now acts as a virtual public square. The exercise of what amounts to censorship, then, can legitimately be viewed as the stifling of commercial free speech.

YouTube bans, Facebook censoring and Twitter shadow banning = God save me from a government department "saving" me from those companies. If those websites want to censor something, that's their business. Start a competitor. Google dropped their Don't Be Evil slogan and that was a good thing as it avoided hypocrisy. But it was actually an excellent aspiration brand that they should have kept.
