Much like Facebook, YouTube now acts as a virtual public square. The exercise of what amounts to censorship, then, can legitimately be viewed as the stifling of commercial free speech. What would John Galt say.

YouTube bans, Facebook censoring and Twitter shadow banning = God save me from a government department "saving" me from those companies. If those websites want to censor something, that's their business. Start a competitor. Google dropped their Don't Be Evil slogan and that was a good thing as it avoided hypocrisy. But it was actually an excellent aspiration brand that they should have kept. Mqurice
