koan: The first paragraph is meaningless as Bernie did not run to conclusion and he did not have the categorical African American vote and was less known and stigmatized by his socialist leanings.

"I have explained to you many times why he lost the nomination."

Wharf; "It's pretty simple... Obama got 18M votes when he ran against Clinton, and Bernie only got 13M.

koan:"The second paragraph is meaningless because all that is important is that he ran to the left of Hillary. Left is left and is a constant in this case.

When you only have two candidates whomever runs the farthest left, all other things being equal, is all that is important to make one's point.

And Obama ran pretty far left, he administered from the middle, but he ran left. And the nation was not as far left as it is today.

" Obama ran to the left of Hillary and won the nomination! Think about that"

Wharf:" Obama ran to the right of Bernie (and Biden and Edwards) and won the presidency.
