OK, here's some boring numbers on Softbank holdings/changes of YHOO: Date Source Shares Note 2/11/97 13G 9,515,228 Pre-split 3/31/97 13G/A 40,000 Options to Hippeau 9,475,228 Net, pre-split 14,212,842 Adjusted for 3/2 split 12/31/97 S-3 278,000 Transfered to GeoCities Jan ? S-3 444,984 Remaining to be sold or transferred, assuming $64/shr value. 13,489,858 Net of GeoCities (and Hippeau) 1/8/98 S-3 13,469,858 Reported holdings As you can see, there are 20,000 shares unaccounted for (80,000 if Hippeau has not exercised his options).
