Atheism doesn't make sense. How can you know for sure there is no God? If he was a true believe in the scientific method, then he'd claim to be an Agnostic, not an Atheist. Non-believers allow themselves to called atheist so as not to confuse the traditional believer who only deals in a god belief....to them if you don't believe in a god (their god) you're an atheist.... I think most people who call themselves atheist really are agnostic and choose, as I do, to avoid the argument with rabid believers... But you are correct, most of us are really agnostic.... Unlike religionists we are not smart enough to know all the answers. We can't be sure there is no god but we damn well think (not believe) that to be the case...
