A whiff of beer on your breath would've done it. Couple years ago, a beloved HS drama teacher in town was struck and killed. He was on a darkened street, wearing dark clothes and darted in front of a car. The car was driven by a prominent person in the community who I knew personally. Turned out the teacher was bi-polar and was in the midst of a manic episode when he darted in front of the car. Luckily, the driver did not have even a drop of alcohol onboard. If he had, he would have been toast, despite the fact that from all appearances the accident was 100% the teacher's fault.
