That's the problem with you Russians, always complaining. That's one of the reasons my Great-Grandmother and her 3 kids left Moscow for West Hollywood, California in 1911.

"Cold and dark in the Winter and dry and dusty in the Summer", was how she described it.

And then your Bolshi revolution in 1917 - how well did that turn out?

A photographer recently took photos in the village of the serfs who used to work on the 36 farms she grew up on owned by her father Konstantin Zoti. A grandson of the former serfs and his family is featured. Are they better off 100 years later?
