I'll ask you the same question I asked mindmeld.

A question you have to ask yourself is if the church's are the moral authority why didn't they stop slavery?

They had almost total power, certainly plenty of power to stop it, for about 1,500 years between 300 AD and 1800 AD??

It was humans that stopped slavery all by themselves.

So where is the real moral authority?
