It was Chistians, in this country, that stopped slavery. You think without Christian morals, we would have stopped slavery? Think again. Do you know that slavery in the Middle East is rampant? Your Islamic friends have a religion that has not evolved since 800 AD. Christianity has evolved quite a bit. The Western world's moral values, which you deride so much come from Christianity. Our respect for women and desire for their equality, as well as our respect for minorities, tolerance of other religions, tolerance for LGBTQ, and tolerance of all sorts of stuff comes directly from New Testament values. "Judge not, lest ye be judged." "Turn the other cheek." "Love thy neighbor as you love yourself." I always hear the atheists throw back to me quotes from the Old Testament, which sound a lot like the angry God of the Muslims. But Jesus was the promise of something new and kind. That is what all the progress over the last century was about. Just ask yourself this. Since Christianity has faded away over the last decade or two, is what has replaced it better? We are seeing Chaos, despair, depression, and high rates of suicide among our youth. People in power show no restraint since the taboos of Christianity no longer apply and the law can't keep up with the ways they try to get around it. You don't have to argue with me on the point. You are getting the world you want and to me it looks like a world gone to hell in a hand basket. If there are no morals, then there will be no restraint and the darker angels of our soul will continue to win in very ghastly ways.
