I would say that there are at least two future outcomes that need to be considered with regard to the election of the next American President ....

Firstly, how much of Donald Trump's pre-election promises can be voted into law and to then take effect.

Secondly how effective does what Donald Trump wants for America, that has been turned into law, become for the American peoples.

In other words, it's a case of proving to the American public that what Trump wants for America can be shown, by experience, to actually be to their Ultimate Benefit.

And if that should be the case then I can't see what any Democrat could come up with that would beat what Donald Trump had promised for America. In addition he had also kept to his promises where Congress and the Senate didn't stand in his way. And the fact that he knew what he was talking about when he diagnosed what had gone wrong within America and its society, and that the corrective steps that he took in that regard were ultimately successful.

That, IMHO, is a pretty powerful platform to stand on when he stands for re-election.
The electorate will know who they are getting, and when promises are made that they will be kept if no back-stabbers get in the way, and that the man knows what he's talking about and what to effectively do about it.

"The Proof of the Pudding will have been in the Eating."

By that stage I suspect that Trump will also have finally gathered a team around himself that he can trust and that will do what he believes needs to be done .....

Trump’s election is semi miraculous
Trump stopped, at least for now, the slide into a Ayn Rand-style nightmare. 4-8 years of HRC would have tipped the momentum - quite possibly, irreversibly. Either unlimited legal/illegal immigration - or socialist healthcare - certainly, both - would have been enough to create a permanent pro-Left majority. After that, things would probably start rolling faster than most people think.

We could probably still fight China or anyone else - but forget about competing.
