Definitely, Bob. When I complain about immigration, I forget that some people don't know my fleshed out views. I want an end to illegal immigration along with sharply reduced chain migration. But I also want legal immigration to be merit based---so the smarter and more skilled, the better. At the same time, I'd like to see a lot of government effort to keep corporations from flooding the market. The H1-B visa program is said to be abused by corporations. Also, I'd like to see the loopholes in that program closed so that corporations can't undercut our American STEM grads by paying less to the visa holders. Also, there are certain places in the world whose immigrants assimilate better here. Look there first, I would argue.
