The way you argue and most conservatives argue is from a point of view already embraced and then look for examples to defend it.

The way a liberal argues is to look at the examples first and then draw a conclusion. What causes what!

Yes, we don't know much about the Sumerians because they didn't have a good written language. it was the Greeks having the first functional written language that allowed them to get so smart because they could transfer knowledge directly and exactly from generation to generation.

It is silly to compare the ancient Greeks to today's Greeks. It wasn't that the Greeks were smarter than other people it was that they had written language.

And you are not being entirely honest in your arguments. You look at failed states like Venezuela and problems of modern Greece to demean socialism and never mention the socialist Nordic countries which are the most successful countries on earth.

. You over look them on purpose because they disprove your argument.

They weren't the first big thinkers and they won't be the last. We just have plenty of documentation on the Greeks, whereas, how much documentation do we have on the Sumerians, who were very arguably a very advanced civilization?
