January 13, 1998/FOOLWIRE/ -- Geron
Corp. (Nasdaq: GERN) jumped $1 1/2 to $11 1/2 after the biotech company
announced that it will publish a study detailing its work on introducing
telomerase into human cells in the January 16th issue of Science. The
company says this will significantly increase the life span of cells,
possibly "lead[ing] to new treatments for age-related diseases and
conditions."

Looks like shorters better cover this one, it's heading to the moon...
