It is a credit to Lutts' marketing ability that his opinion even matters when it comes to Presstek, or any other stock for that matter. In the most recent Forbes, Mark Hulbert has a column examining the performance of just about every newsletter out there. Cabot Market Letter ranks near the bottom, not just for last year, but for the last ten years. Average annual performance for the last ten years is 6%, well under the general market return, even though Lutts takes on much greater risk than the market.

If/when Cabot Market Letter and Cabot Money Management blows up, Carlton ought to be able to get a job in sales pretty easily.
