For something to do I went to the Brocade site and checked out the job listings. They are beefing up quite a bit and I found them very interesting. Perhaps someone in the biz can sort through them also and see if anything of significance can be discerned.... brocadecomm.com There are 26 separate job descriptions, but some of them require more then 1 person. Here is an example, a job for Japan "This position is a sales support position. This position is in San Jose, Ca., but is intended to also support Brocade's Japanese Distributor, Tokyo Electron Limited(anybody come across these guys?. This individual will be responsible for providing the OEM detailed Silkworm(TM) switch. Activities can include initial briefings to provide overview of the product and its features; initial qualification of the OEM on behalf of Brocade engineering to ensure the OEM can successfully integrate and support our products; and technical support during integration to resolve problems and provide the field interface to Brocade engineering to resolve problems or schedule visits by senior engineering staff. The position reports to the Director of System Integration and Test with dotted line responsibility to the Brocade Sales organization. Qualifications: Previous experience in integrating products, system engineering support to customers/OEMS, knowledge of software development, experience in qualifying products, and a technical background in storage or networking are all desired qualifications for this position....... Ability to travel to Asia, specifically Japan, on a regular basis; knowledge of Japanese language; and understanding of how to do business with Japanese companies are required assets for this position. ... Many more, and worth spending 20 min on. If ANCR could get one nice contract they could hire all these people too.
