Time to move level of instability comes on slowly and is easy to spot if you're willing to acknowledge it.

My Great-Grandfather moved from Switzerland to Moscow to take advantage of an opportunity with his new wife who had grown up in what's now Moldova and taught him Russian.

By 1911 she'd already rented a home and enrolled the kids in Hollywood High and by 1913 moved into a new house in West Hollywood she commissioned.

In 1914 her Dad wanted her to come back to Moscow and Moldova with the kids, and while in Moscow they saw their neighbor across the street get shot in the head on his balcony while the Cossacks on horseback tried to control a riot while conscripting men for WW-I. She told her husband Pierre to send her a telegram when things had gotten back to normal and they boarded the railway for Siberia, Kachatka, Japan and Hawaii and California.

Even by 1911 she could sense she didn't want to be in Europe at that time. It was pretty obvious.

You said: "At the end of the day you have to make some hard decisions based on the evidence you have available to you."

The underlying facts about your decisions past, are wholly dependent upon your recognition about your own behavior. So the range of your behavior past, dictates the limits for what you know, and how you know it. Subsequently how you rationalized your own beliefs dictates your options in the present and future.

Having in mind the above, you further state: " If you expect a revolution and feel you are a member of a group that is going to be put upon by the mob,"

Most people are only fully prepared for the past. This is due primarily to a skewed accumulation of short cuts taken, during a phase of knowledge accumulation
