Glad the games were fun last night. The night before that, I ended up missing most of them since I had committed to going to a fund-raiser for our new library called "Rock and Roll Stories"-- which lasted three and a half hours. Most of the stories were about hanging out with Janis Joplin, Hendrix, the Stones, even Chuck Berry and James Brown. A bit before my/our time, but icons nonetheless. The cool thing was that these were not storytellers or historians, but the actual musicians who literally recorded and toured with these guys, telling their favorite memories. In school, I hated to read history books and the like (which is not good thing if you are a poli sci major). But put me in a room with someone passionate about something, and I'll listen to them all day.
