Even if your argument held water what about Denmark, Sweden, finland, Iceland, New Zealand, Canada,Australia, Japan, etc?

And the size has nothing to do with it. They are intellectually very progressive. We are big, but very rich country and the pubs don't like progressive government. You say socialism is a huge evil and then when it is working make up reasons why socialism doesn't matter. Make up your mind. Why isn't your socialism destroying Norway?

Texas could have had a sovereign wealth fund worth trillions by now, or Oklahoma.

I was involved in putting Alaska's sovereign wealth fund together and we dems had to fight the Republicans in a blood in the street fight to get it.

Remember pubs do not like big government programs. And sovereign wealth funds are huge government programs.
