I’d contribute just to hear the howls from the left when the wall gets funded before the summer begins via your idea.

Well .... let's put some dollar numbers to it ...

Trump received about 63 million votes in the election.

Let's take about 50% of them and assume that each one of them would be prepared to donate only $20 a month towards the wall, and thereby ensure the better security and reduction of illegal immigrants entering their country.

That gives ...

~31,000,000 x $20/month x 12 months = $7,440,000,000, i.e. ~$7.5 BILLION in a year.

There have been estimates made that the wall should cost about $21 Billion to build ...

reuters.com

.... so at the above suggested rate of "public participation" it should take the estimated 3 years to complete ... and NO NEED to get any voting assistance in both Houses from the DemoCraps ....

Been thinking for a while... if the Wall is so popular, Trump should consider crowdsourcing. Go directly to the public and ask for donations.

Something that Trump can do now is impose a remittance tax on money transfers to Mexico.
He might be able to do this with an executive order.

Maybe he is waiting for NAFTA to be sort out.
