Because they are fools. The countries with the most free public education like the Nordic countries kick our ass in everything.

The /demso passed a bill to get free public pre school clear back in Nixon days and he vetoed it.

Most college professors and students are liberal which right wingers hate. It never occurs to them it might be because they are educated.

We are near the bottom of the rankings. That is due to the pubs

Ask any teacher how well home schooled kids do in general and they will say when they get to a pubic school they have to catch up!
