LOL. I've been hearing a lot about beta males recently and I find it hilarious and so true. I have to preface what I'm going to say, because I don't want people to mistake me for being hard right on this issue. So let me state first that I am a "live and let live" person, meaning that I have my beliefs, but I don't impose them on others and I don't presume to judge others for their life choices. So for the LGBTQ out there, I don't believe that the government has the right to interfere with your lifestyle decisions (or inborn proclivities) or discriminate against you in any way as long as you don't break any laws and decisions made are between consenting adults. Having said that, recently, I've seen a trend from the liberal left of encouraging people to become victims and shout loudly about their victimhood. Any Psychiatrist or Psychologist will tell you that victim mentality is a very deeply unhealthy psychological state. But that's the liberal left for you nowadays. As I've stated before, that victim mentality is leading to truly over the top and appalling statements like, "All the problems in the world are caused by white males." I think that is just flat out racist. We should be trying to lift up underserved groups, not trying to tear other groups down. It's so wrong headed and immoral to engage in racism to get what you want. In addition, I've seen classes at Universities on "Male Toxicity" and "Microaggressions" and all those silly things. Anyway, so it has had a very noticeable effect on the male population in this country. Males are no different than any other group. They mostly want to blend in, be liked, and engage in civil relations with everyone else. So to do that nowadays, they have to profess to be against "maleness", subdue their natural male instincts, and otherwise become a sniveling beta male, as you've pointed out. I've never been a beer swilling, alpha male who screams at the TV during football games, but I remember having a lot of fun on my high school soccer team with my buddies and engaging in locker room talk about the girls and saying things that would not be appropriate in today's climate. And I see nothing wrong with that. It was all just part of growing up a boy who liked girls. Granted, I've matured quite a bit since then and I don't engage in locker room talk now, because I'm happily married and everyone else I know is too. So not something adults really do a whole lot of (except for Trump LOL). But good Lord, people are so sensitive nowadays and the male is taking the brunt of it. I'll tell you, I'm a bit conflicted about this whole trans issue in the military, for example. Why the f is that an issue? For one, I think the military needs to just say categorically that no tax payer funds will be used for transition surgery. That surgery is not a God given right. God made you the way you are and none of us are perfect. Just because technology makes it possible to move your body closer to your perceived ideal, does not give you the right to other people's money to make that happen. So for me, that is an open and shut issue. As to whether trans people should be in the military or not, I'm a bit more conflicted. On the one hand, I have seen no evidence that it impacts their ability to do their jobs. On the other hand, I keep getting these images of a bunch of skirt wearing American beta male marines, running awkwardly with arms akimbo and nails painted pink, towards a platoon of hardened Russian Alpha males like Ivan Drago in Rocky. Is that really what we want? I know I'm going to get flamed for that last bit, but sheesh. I'm not sure I really recognize our country anymore. Why can't we just say it takes all types and let the males glory in being male and let the trannies be tranny? Not sure why the left finds it so important to tear everything else down in their efforts to lift a few victim groups up. Sometimes I feel like the 10% in the margins of this country get 100% of the airtime. When the f did that become acceptable? No wonder so many people nowadays feel like we need to take our country back from the wackos.
