I've also been vocal against the war spending as well, which you very well know. My observation has been that both Bush Jr and Obama spent a shit load of money on wars. Obama started off being the anti-war President. I liked it when he said, "we will be as careful getting out of Iraq, as we were careless getting in. I want to change the whole mindset that got us into that war in the first place." But then he turned into another war President, just like the rest of them. But you conflate the two things. Your argument is essentially, the Republicans like to spend money on wars, therefore, we need to raise taxes. That's silly. I am against tax increases and I am also against spending money needlessly. I've advocated recently for DECREASED military spending. We need to optimize, not increase spending on the military. I also think ACA needs to be disembowled and replaced. As for Norway and Sweden's GDP per capita being higher than the US'...well, of course they do, because they have a population smaller than some cities in the US. You are ignoring the denominator. That's a liberal for you, though, once again ignoring mathematical laws to make your case. GDP per capita being higher than ours is not meaningfully correlated to their use of Socialism or Capitalism. In fact, it is unrelated. They just happen to be in a good location that is resource rich and they just happen to have very few people. If I used your logic, I'd say that the monarchy in Qatar is superior to Capitalism, because they have high GDP per capita. Your argument is a silly one.
