While weekly and monthly values are good to give the long term big picture. I deal in the short to intermediate term. Expressed more clearly in daily indicators. But, I recommend strongly looking at weekly charts to see where stock is in the big picture.

System test it by using AdX(70), and see what you get, alone and with other indicators.

I've tried something a little diff. , trying syst. tests using ADX and VHF to confirm trend. (ADXR(14 ) >20 AND VHF(C ,28 ) >.30) It worked ok, but near 95% of all loosing trades were ones I wouldn't have made due to downtrending on ADX and VHF. I tried to find any slope formula, but haven't had any luck. Anyone knows how to do this w. these, and/or w/ dahl and linear regression? I would improve my results much better just trading upward trending stocks.
Thanks,
chris

And Richard, trying ADX(70) on daily data just gives a straight line.
