BC, to be sure, it was kind of tough to prosecute the bankers for the financial meltdown, because it was a combination of many things all coming together. Everyone was blinded by their own greed. That's the mentality that is fostered by a bubble, and the traditional mechanisms for preventing said bubbles is to put in safeguards in hindsight.

Of course, Obama overpromised and underdelivered when it came to protecting homeowners, but he wasn't responsible for protecting bankers from prosecution. Simply not going after the bankers hard enough isn't a crime. Being a lazy president isn't a crime, either.
