Gay men tend to come from Mom's who have had higher # of offspring. So Gay men are a side effect of better than normal reproductive success. "Better than normal reproductive success." Curious way to frame simply having had lots of kids. FWIW.

I grew up close friends with four brothers, only 5 years separated them, oldest to youngest. Very stable two parent family.....all four boys were great athletes. Brother number three was always more quiet, more interested in art, reading, and other cultural events. Brother number one had a terminal cancer diagnosis, and one night while Bro 3 and I were sitting and watching his brother sleep, Bro 3 said I have something I need to tell you, I said "That you are gay?" He said "you knew that"? .......oh yeah, for a long time! We had a good laugh, which we needed. Point is, I don't see where he wasn't "born that way." Same parents, same upbringing, and different from day one. Here's the kicker to the story, after the docs told Bro #1 to get his affairs in order, that they couldn't keep the cancer from growing, they released him.......that was 1991, he's still alive. He's up skiing today. Baby Bro #4, who was a brilliant scientist, did die of leukemia ten years ago.
