You know, I don't like it as much. I do like the Musee d' Orsay- but I just don't like France.

I did forget Berlin, though. A city with more museums than any city should have- it's got double! Museum Island will blow your mind- the Gates of Babylon- imagine! Have you been there?

And then the Museum of Berlin- right near the Dom- is probably the best curated museum explaining the history of a place that I've ever been in. We only spent a day in the museum- probably could have gone back, but there were too many museums! We had no time- and then Potsdam and the palaces! And standing on the Bridge of Spies! And seeing the Berlin wall. And visiting the Bundestag- and let me tell you, that tour of the Bundestag is free, and it's the best tour I've ever taken- led by an Eastern European PhD. The docents are superb. You have to make an appointment far in advance, but it was great. We've run across several places like that- magical places that are open and free, if you know about them, and make an early appointment. The Irish parliament has that kind of tour as well. Haven't taken it yet, but looking forward to it.
