Trump did not build Mar-a-Lago. It was built in the early 1920s. During the Reagan years it was returned to the Post family. Trump did not open Mar-a-Lago. He did not build it, design it or open it. The government turned down Trump's first offer of $28 million and settled for $5 million. Reagan basically gave it away.
