I was planning to hold out and short AOL again at 90. But the S&P news changed my mind.

NEW YORK, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Standard & Poor's today assigned its single-'B' rating to America OnLine,Inc.'s (AOL) $350 million 4% convertible subordinated notes due 2002. A double-'B'-minus corporate credit rating also was assigned to the company, as was a double-'B'-minus bank loan rating.

S&P ratings are something that wall street takes very seriously. This may be the chink in AOL's armour that could lead to a downgrade or two. I shorted at 87 5/8.
