Wharfie, that article is wrong on many levels.

Biggest one is the notion that "about half of undocumented immigrants pay income taxes." No they don't. Those that file tax returns do so in order to claim refundable tax credits, such as the EITC or the tax credits paid out for having children. The net effect is that they end up paying "negative" income taxes.

The only net positive contributions they make are to Social Security, but at their income levels, it's pretty miniscule.
