The point I was making was that entitlement spending is the big budgetary issue, dwarfing all others. The responses I was getting (from zzpat not from you) were totally dismissive, basically calling raising the issue "crazy" and "lies". I want to remove the earnings cap for SS Bad idea itself, and it won't raise enough. and I want to tax robots What about automated production that isn't actually "robots". Personally I'd rather see a greater increase in productivity rather than trying to disincentivize it.
