Since you didn't mention the Nordic country you visited and you had to ask why prices are high I'm kinda surprised you simply lied about what they said. Nordic countries know they economy and system of government was created to help everyone. Their life expectancies is far above the "free market" disaster we have in the US and they do it at a fraction of the price.

Your attack on Scandinavian countries is misplaced. Sweden is growing far faster than the US and our debt is far higher (as a % of GDP) than any Scandinavian country. Put another way, what little growth we have is caused by government debt. Without massive debt the US would cease to exist.

countries like Iceland have invested heavily in green sources of energy, which helps lower prices of energy for consumers,

........Iceland's renewable energy source is geothermal and electricity rates are still only average compared to European countries...you CAN NOT use Iceland in any comparison since the large geothermal source is UNIQUE................now take Germany and Denmark (with huge renewable energy installations) with the highest electricity (BY FAR) rates in Europe even with significant government subsidies. That's the REALITY

Very true, the Danes and the Norwegians don't like the Swedes. The Swedes, however, really like the Norwegians and the Danish :).

Sounds like you went to Denmark, BTW ...
