Look- you're arguing with the definition in the dictionary. I can't help it that the word isn't exclusively legal- but it is NOT. A station can "ban" someone from being on the air by firing them because they suck, or they've enraged the public- that's not a legal ban- it's simply business- but the result of social pressure. Suspended and banned could be used as synonyms under one of the meanings of the word- and, again, that's not me saying that- it's just the dictionary. You should have looked the word up before you chose an untenable argument. So don't get mad at me. Look in the mirror. You'll need to call yourself childish on this one.
