Here's what I know for a fact. I live somewhere, where I get zero subsidies from Federal or State for installing solar in my home. I did the analysis 5 years ago and I could break-even in 7 years on a system that generates 100% of my electricity needs.

.......I'd like to see that.............where do you live?...... and post that COMPLETE 5 year old analysis here so we all can see. I'm in NY and when I get a chance, I'll look into the current cost to convert here and at least attempt to include all relative subsidies and costs. If I'm convinced, I'll switch............I have an ideal location and orientation...........large side of sloped roof faces DIRECTLY south with no obstructions.
