I think carbs in an apple, while the same, is still different than a carb in a slice of pizza... the entire food package is what counts and how the food item itself is digested and metabolized...

When I mention to anyone that I have walnuts, the first thing they ask me is, "Aren't walnuts fattening?"

Well, if you have walnuts on your ice cream after having pizza and beer, then sure, you're adding additional calories... but if all you have are walnuts with melon and/or other fruit, then I don't think the calories mean anything...

Too often people become micro focused on one or another food and miss the broader picture...
