In a way, Republicans are Socialist in that they redistribute money from you and me to the military and corporations of their choosing. The GOP is a dead party with a dwindling constituency, just as the DNC is a Socialist party with no good ideas for economic revival. Free money given to people by taking from others is socialism. Tax cuts for some people, without paying for it through reduced spending is also Socialism of a sort. For example, tax credits for people who don't work is Socialism.
