My mother had LBD and struggled with it for years before succumbing in her late 90's. Her last several years were agonizing and we tried all sorts of SSRIs and combos. We didn't realize how bad that stuff was for her until she went into hospice and went off those meds. In her brief moments of clarity, she would tell me she didn't want to go on like she was. And then she would forget by the next morning because of dementia. She had bad hallucinations, depressed and not being able to sleep well. We would have tried the drug if it was available then. Quality would have been much more important and worthwhile than quantity. I don't wish this on anyone or those providing care.
