And the Talmud, as I understand it is an educational document as much as a spiritual book.

If morality is not something that needs to be understood then you need to explain why we did not end slavery, until 150 years ago, gained Democracy until 250 years ago, and ended segregation and misogyny until 60 years ago!

Religion and the church has been around for more than 2,000 years.

It was the rise of human thinking and education of the people that brought us civilization for crying out loud.
