But you can't just make people who are over 70 into dog food! I know that in political adds its been treated as such but reforming entitlements to reduce future costs doesn't require either throwing granny off the cliff or making her in to dog food. You condemned Obama for trying to do something - the only thing he could get through congress. I didn't condemn him for trying to do something. I opposed him for doing something negative. "Something must be done. This is something. Therefore this must be done". Doesn't work for me. Great now you're in charge - FIX IT I'm not in charge of anything outside of my own personal and work life (and not a lot in the later.) As for "fix it" its not that simple. As for "make the situation better", there isn't the votes for it, not a majority in either party in congress (or I think among voters) for something that would have a serious positive impact, and the issue isn't one that Trump (or most of the other candidates that tried to get either parties nomination in the last election, or any likely candidate in the next one) cares to do much about.
