Just watched TV that says that RMB does not have to depreciate. The comment was from American representative who is in HK right now talking to the chief Executive. He appreciated the effort of pegging HK$ to US$. Another piece of news says China controls its growth pretty well, no RMB depreciation is anticipated. Yet, caution was adivsed on possible shorters' attack. New Year Rally? I am not sure. Given Asia's financial atmosphere, people would rather keep their money than investing it. Personally, I don't think there'd be any rally over there this year.
