Liberals aren't mindless drones. Conservatives are. They still think tax cuts will give us balanced budgets after nearly four decades of being wrong 100% of the time. Mindless is being overly kind. As for Dems favoring the status quo, I don't see it. We pushed for the ACA and global warming. We passed TARP and saved the global economy. We raised the debt ceiling and fund the government with tax increases. We pushed for equal rights for gays and so much more. Our business leaders gave us companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Netflix, Twitter, Starbucks and so much more and most of them came into existence or excelled because of the Internet.
