from briefing:

November Chip Sales: according to the Semiconductor Industry Association, November global chip sales increased by 9.1% to $12.1 bln from a year-ago; global chip sales rose 0.92% from October's level of $11.99 bln.....

So if that is the case I am not sure if all the gloom and doom about the semis with regard to SEA can be treated as logical thinking. Or am I missing something?

Duane, need your advise! What should I do with AMAT and TXN. I never thoguht I talk like a trader but this SEA problem and the extreme vlatility has really impacted me! I bought AMAT last Friday at $28 and TXN at $42, they both are up a little over 10% from my purchase price. Originally I was planning to buy more if they go down. With INTCs earnings coming out this afternoon I am not sure if the rally we are seeing with semis is aritificial or a genuine rally?! Should I sell AMAT and TXN and sit on the cash till after INTCs earnings or hold on and add more tommorrow or the following days if they come down?! Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.
