Robert Mueller has evidence that Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen traveled to Prague in 2016, refuting Cohen’s claim that he never visited the Czech capital and bolstering the Christopher Steele intelligence dossier that first described the trip, McClatchy reported on Friday.

Investigators for Mueller, the special counsel in the Russia probe, have evidence Cohen entered the Czech Republic through Germany in late summer 2016, McClatchy reported, citing two unnamed sources.

The news agency said it was unclear whether Mueller’s investigators have evidence that Cohen met with a prominent Russian, as the Steele dossier claimed.

Mueller can prove Cohen made secret trip to Prague before the election: report
TheHill.com

President Trump’s longtime personal lawyer Michael Cohen on Saturday responded to a report that special counsel Robert Mueller has evidence that Cohen went to Prague during the 2016 election, slamming it as “bad reporting.”

“Bad reporting, bad information and bad story,” Cohen tweeted, calling out the reporter behind the story by name.

“No matter how many times or ways they write it, I have never been to Prague. I was in LA with my son. Proven!”

The office of Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller told reporters that "many" stories about his investigation "have been inaccurate."It was an unusual piece of pushback from an office that tends to keep quiet. The progress of Mueller's probe into potential Russia-Trump collusion is a source of fascination for many outlets. Many stories are based on leaks from anonymous figures said to have knowledge of the probe, which are inherently difficult to verify.

The office of Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller has warned that much of the reporting on his investigation into links between the Trump campaign and Russia are inaccurate.

A statement warned reporters to "be very cautious" about claims made of the internal workings on Mueller's probe, which have resulted in "many" claims which don't stack up.
