John; RE:" Candlestick Charting Books "

...according to a synopsis of the table of contents, John - Candlestick Charting Explained is the same (but newer) as the original CandlePower. You can probably find the ISBN number for Morris' newer book on amazon.com - CandlePower is ISBN 1-55738-458-4

I recommend this Morris book to anyone who has started with the Nison books, as you and I did.

-Steve

Hi John, the ISBN for c-charting 'splain'd is 1557388911. I have both Nison books as well as this one. This Morris book takes multi-candle patterns (2-5 candles) and analyzes each one in an organized format. It shows the pattern and set-up trend, gives a commentary, rules of recognition, scenarios and psychology behind the pattern, pattern flexibility, pattern breakdown, and related patterns for each one. Then he discusses the reliability of the patterns through backtested results, and then discusses other technical indicators to include with candle analysis. It's an interesting read and a worthwhile addition if you're building a library, but is it indispensible if you already have the Nison books and are strapped for cash? Probably not. You'll certainly learn things from it, but not as much as if you didn't have the 2 Nison books. I always like to have at least 2 views on every topic, and that's the main reason I bought it.
