The cost has been WAY less than our oil wars in the ME. If you want to bitch about bad outcomes caused by government you should look there instead. When our tax money used for renewables hits several $T get back to me.

In theory yes. In practice places that essentially require a lot of alternative electricity production have higher electricity costs.
