"That is the problem you right wingers have, you do not learn from the best and the brightest"

The Best and the Brightest - Wikipedia
(1972) is an account by journalist David Halberstam of the origins of the Vietnam War published by Random House. The focus of the book is on the foreign policy crafted by academics and intellectuals who were in John F. Kennedy's administration, and the consequences of those policies

"That group on MSNBC" aren't "the smartest and most honest people the human species has produced anywhere on earth". However, they might be your favorite group of smart liberal TV hosts appearing in one network's line-up.

I didn't claim that Jones, Hannity etc. were "the smartest and most honest people the human species has produced anywhere on earth". I don't even watch them much and can't think of any recent time where I praised them, let alone making such an extreme and silly statement about the collection of hosts for any news organization.

We get it you like them, you think their smart, you think they do a great job, you think attacks against them are largely to totally unjustified, etc. But - "the smartest and most honest people the human species has produced anywhere on earth"? Really? Do even you believe that?

>> you do not learn from the best and the brightest;

You mean like Chris Matthews ("Tingle"), Joy Ann Reid, etc.? (Rachel Maddow is intelligent, but too busy being snarky about politics to have a reasonable discussion).

Really, I don't get this.
